Mark is a distinguished engineering leader with over 11 years of experience at Google and Nest, where he spearheaded the regulatory engineering and global launch of flagship smart home ecosystems. A veteran of 38 New Product Introductions (NPIs), he was instrumental in bringing wearables, thermostats, and life-safety devices—including smoke and CO detectors—to market in over 40 countries. With deep expertise in hardware development and regulatory compliance, Mark successfully managed over 400 ECO/PRQ cycles and the development of 26 power supplies, ensuring seamless global scalability for high-stakes consumer electronics.
Previously, Mark served as an Engineering Manager at UL Solutions, overseeing 120+ engineers and 20 global labs. He thrived in this high-velocity environment, directing 200+ monthly projects while integrating over seven years of rigorous experience from the medical device industry.
A Yale-trained executive leader and Stanford-certified Program Manager, Mark is recognized for his cross-functional engineering judgment and decisive leadership. He combines a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with credentials as a Product Owner and Scrum Master to navigate the complex regulatory landscapes of the world’s most advanced tech ecosystems.
